Happy New Year, friends. Despite being plagued by debilitating viruses, holiday chaos and the joys of quitting smoking, we have made it through another year, and we couldn't be happier for it.
We're starting 2012 off on the right foot with a massive new batch of releases. Our biggest run ever, these 10 new tapes carry some pretty heavy weight. We've got stunning drones from the likes of Derek Rogers, Adrian Dziewanski, Wasted Cathedral and our own home-town hero, Greenhouse. Additionally, we're thrilled to welcome Will Long to our list of must-work-with artists — he's given us the priveledge of releasing a colossal 88 minutes of sound that only the name Celer could be attached to.
Stepping away from the drone side of things, we've also rustled up some killer sounds for the beat fiends, thanks to three excellent local artists: T. Fuller, Tyrannosaurusex, and Crabskull. Each brings their own unique style to the table, resulting in a broad palette of dirty drums, freaked-out sounds and unyielding head trips.
Finally, on the harsher side of things, local HNW head Pat Klassen gives us his new project Grain Count, with a release dedicated to the work of Ryoji Ikea, combining HNW textures with a hypnotic blend of tonal fuckery, while Gomeisa exits a very long period of silence with two intense (and very different) no-input mixer sessions that unfold like fever dreams. Welcome to the new era.
If you can't decide which tape to buy, consider our massive batch sale, which gives you all ten new tapes for a stupid-cheap price (click the banner up top).
Thanks to all of you for sticking with us. We're very excited to let these tapes loose into the world, and sincerely thank all of our great friends and artists who make this label possible.
Best regards,
—Cole and Chris
